CMACE launches its eighth report of the Confidential Enquiries into Maternal Deaths in the United Kingdom.

The Centre for Maternal and Child Enquiries (CMACE) has published ‘Saving Mothers’ Lives – reviewing maternal deaths 2006-2008. This report shows the overall number of maternal deaths in the UK has fallen over the last three years despite a rise in the number of women dying from infection.
